Background

Background

The Belgian Cancer Registry (BCR / Stichting Kankerregister) collects, processes, and analyses cancer-related data from healthcare providers across Belgium.

This IG aims to standardise the exchange of:

  • Cancer case identification and demographics
  • Tumour characteristics (topography, morphology, behaviour, grade)
  • Diagnosis, staging, and treatment events
  • Follow-up and outcome data

Future revisions will align with the eHealth Belgium FHIR programme and existing European registry guides where applicable.
